Movie Experience: That Thing Called Tadhana

That Thing Called Tadhana, 2014

I wasn’t really looking forward for this movie. In a scale of 1 to 10, the probability of me watching this is 6, meaning if there is no other good film available, this is the movie to watch. Alas! It came true! Instead of watching “Fifty Shades of Grey”, we ended up watching this. I didn’t regret it, probably only on the first half of the film. The latter part was predictable, and it bored me. I can’t help but compare the film to “English Only, Please” due to a lot of situational similarities, but then again Angelica Panganiban did a pretty good job! She’s truly versatile and she can deliver any role! With JM De Guzman, I could relate to his role a lot and he did a great job as well. I can say this film definitely showed modern Pinoy love story and they took the love month by storm! Probably, if you’re a hopeless romantic person or a brokenhearted one, you would say this is the best film after “One More Chance” or “Starting Over Again”, but for people like me looking for entertainment, this film will just pass by and will be forgotten, or more likely will be taken over by a more popular Romantic Film in the coming months.
